A number of Hodeida Province's People organized today a press conference in which they called Hodeida people to warmly receive "Medicine and Food March" which started on Saturday before the UN headquarters. This march starts from Sana'a to Hodeida to break the siege imposed on the port and convey a message to the international community to lift the siege against Yemen and stop the Saudi-led war in support of Hadi's legitimacy. For his part, the president of preparatory committee of the press conference Sheikh Mohammed Abkar called Hodeida people to warmly receive "Medicine and Food March" which south people. Abkar confirmed Hodeida people for any targeting to Hodeida port which is the only channel to supply food and relief and medicine. And any targeting to the port will increase the suffering of the Yemeni people, calling UN and international community to play their role without bias to any party and break the land, air and sea siege. Haydar Ali Rashid stressed in a press statement issued by Hodeida people the importance of cohesion and national solidarity in the shadow of the international community's silence and the famine that targets Tahama people in particular and 18 million Yemeni people in general. At the end of the conference, the final statement was issued, indicating to the interaction of the people with the "Medicine and Food March", which the south people called for. This Medicine and Food March" which starts from Sana'a and ends in Hodeida port will arrive in Hodeida port in May 22nd, the national day of Yemen Unification in an expression that stresses the unity of Yemenis as one body. The press statement also emphasized that Hodeida port belongs to Yemeni people and UN has no right to observe the port. The statement also included the rejection of Hodeida people to any attempt of targeting the port as it is the only humanitarian channel and relief that supply all the Yemeni people with food and medicine, holding the UN the responsibility of any military operations against the port. For her part, the media and activist Al-Faqih called in a speech in a conference the international community and the world to promptly break the siege and stop the war against the Yemeni people. On the sidelines of the conference, the advisor for human rights Mr. Abdulhameed Sultan honored Al-Sheikh Abkar with a certificate of thanks and appreciation from the human rights office in Taiz. The conference included the presence of Saif Azi Sagir, Secretary General of the Nasserite Democratic Party and the parliamentarians Ahmed Saif Hashid, Hassan Omar Sweid, Brigadier General Mohammad Abu Ali, Dr. Wahab Al Sharafi and Sheikh Sadiq Abu Shawarib as well as media activists and journalists
